A modular yoga teacher training program leading to a 200 or a 500 hours certification with the
Independent Yoga Network starting in 2016.
This training program explores the connections between the mindfulness and concentration practices of Buddhism and the practices of classical
and contemporary yoga. and covers asana, pranayama, kriya, bandha, mindfulness meditation, yoga & Buddhist philosophy, anatomy & physiology and teaching
technique and practice.
This program is opened to serious students with at least two years of regular home practice in any style of yoga or meditation and a commitment to improve and broaden this practice with a view to teach others.
It consists of a number of residential modules, with home practice, study, reading and writing assignments and regular online meetings in between.
The modules are run regularly and can be attended at any time that suits, with a time limit of five years between the first and the last module.

Iyengar Yoga Teacher Training Courses
Two-year teacher training courses leading to a Introductory Teaching
Certificate (internationally recognised Iyengar qualification) are
regularly run in Dublin. It is necessary to have attended regular
classes with an Iyengar Yoga teacher for three years to be eligible for

Absolute Yoga Teacher Training Certification Courses AYTTC
This 100hr/year training and immersion into Classical Hatha and Ashtanga
Yoga traditions will take place in Mount St.Annes Retreat Centre in
Co.Laois. It will entail a weekend of yoga practice and study every two
months, giving enough time for self-practice, review and Q&A between
modules. There will be a total of 6 weekends for each 100hr of training.
The full programme will be over 5 years with each year being a complete and
certifiable stage leading to a 500Hour Yoga Alliance Cert & Absolute Yoga

Irish Yoga Association
The IYA Teacher Training Course is a four year part-time
course (over 600 hours) that
seeks to provide the opportunity to
test the main philosophical premises, increasing awareness in all
aspects of the individual so that Yoga can become a practical way of
life rather than a practice to induce a state of mind that temporarily
eases unwanted states of mind. It aims to provide participants with the
knowledge, skill and attitude to teach Yoga. Course participants
are encouraged to teach after 2 years whilst having the support of
their peers and Tutors. The Course is fully comprehensive in that
it deals with the physical, emotional, mental, psychological and
spiritual aspects of Yoga in recognition of Yoga as a tool for self
development. Participants work continuously with two full-time
Tutors over the four years, together with visiting guest Tutors.
The Course includes Asana, Pranayama, Kriya, Mudra, Bandha, Meditation,
Philosophy, Anatomy & Physiology, First Aid, Teaching Practice,
Class Planning, Yoga for Children, Yoga in Pregnancy and Yoga in the
field of Mental Health. The
training explores classical and contemporary methods, in keeping with
Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras and the Hathayogapradipika.
The Course aims to produce Yoga
teachers who embody the principles of Yoga philosophy in their
lives and in their teaching.
The Course is accredited by the European Union of Yoga, enabling
diploma holders to teach throughout Europe.
The IYA also offers a POST-GRAD
COURSE comprising six weekends and a residential week.
This course focuses on enhancing and deepening personal practice as
well as exploring various styles of teaching and delivery skills
through experiential learning. This course is open to those who hold a
valid Yoga Teaching Diploma (equivalent to a minimum of 200 hours
training) and who meet the standard of assessment day and interview.

Ashtanga Yoga Dublin Teacher Training Courses
Yoga Alliance UK accredited RYT 200 is a thoroughly practical training
in all aspects of Yoga, providing a foundation training in Yoga
History, Philosophy, Chanting, Yoga Sutra, Bhagavad Gita, Anatomy and
Lifestyle & Nutrition, Teaching skills, including asana
techniques, modificatons, benefits and precautions, adjustment
techniques and variations. The training will take place over 4 x 5-day
blocks of 40 hours each. Applicants should have a minimum of 2 years of
regular Yoga practice and the course is suitable for those wishing to
teach Hatha or Ashtanga Yoga. The Course will be taught by David
Collins and Paula Herbert, both of whom are SYT's and authorised by
Manju Pattabhi Jois to teach Ashtanga Yoga. See

Apprenticeship. This is limited to 5 students per year and as the
name suggests, the Trainee will be apprenticed to the Course

KRI Kundalini Yoga Teacher Training Course*

The Level 1 Aquarian Teacher Training program in Kundalini Yoga as
taught by Yogi Bhajan is a 220 hour course recognised by the Yoga
