Yoga teacher training courses in Ireland

Iyengar Yoga Teacher Training Courses
Two-year teacher training courses leading to a Introductory Teaching Certificate (internationally recognised Iyengar qualification) are regularly run in Dublin. It is necessary to have attended regular classes with an Iyengar Yoga teacher for three years to be eligible for Teacher Training. For an application form and further details please contact

The Yoga Therapy and training Centre (YTTC)
The Yoga Therapy & Training Centre (YTTC) is Ireland’s largest yoga training body with local Yoga Centres nationwide. The organisation was founded in 1996 to give practitioners in Ireland the opportunity to study locally towards an internationally recognised qualification, meeting National Occupational Standards. The YTTC runs specialist courses on yoga for pregnancy, teaching yoga to children and chair yoga, as well as a 15 months (one weekend per month) Level One Diploma courses which covers asana techniques, teaching skills, relaxation, meditation and anatomy.

Samadhi Dublin
A comprehensive one year course, looking at all aspects of classical yoga - physical and spiritual. It is for serious students of yoga who already have a strong practice. We are not teaching how to do yoga, we are teaching how to deepen your understanding of the complete practice.
The course will be a one-year, 200-hour teacher training. It will be spread over 10 weekends, including 1 residential long weekend. Start date is 1st October. Contact

Green Lotus yoga

The Irish Yoga Association Course
The Irish Yoga Association runs a part time four year teacher training diploma course based in Dublin. Course starts every September (apply to the IYA in writing before the end of April, applicants must have been studying yoga for at least two years).
The syllabus includes Asana, Pranayama, Meditation, Relaxation Techniques, Philosophy, Anatomy & Physiology, First Aid and Psychology. This course is recognised by the European Union of Yoga.

The Yoga Room in Dublin
The Yoga Room offers a 200hour teacher training programme internationally accredited by Yoga Alliance. The broad-based training integrates the Krishnamacharya lineage - Ashtanga, Vinyasa,

Clonlea yoga studio
Clonlea Yoga Studio will be starting its next teacher training course in November 2010. The course consists of a minimum of 360 hours with at least 270 direct contact hours over a two year period. Prerequisites for attending the course are: 60 hours study in Viniyoga approach or extensive experience or other relevant training. The course is accredited with the British Wheel of Yoga.

The Elbowroom, Dublin
Run a 250 hour Yoga Alliance Registered Course. Kndalini Yoga Teacher Training course
The Aquarian Teacher Training programme in Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan is recognised by the Yoga Alliance and is supported by the Kundalini Yoga Teachers Association of Ireland, who also run a "Radiant Child" teacher training program, for people who want to teach yoga to children.

Yoga Therapy Ireland
